P&C VACANT POSITIONS:
There are still opportunities to get involved with the following positions still vacant:
Grants Officer: Develops contacts and applies for relevant grants. The role requires liaising with the school as applications depended on the preferences and commitment of the school.
Assistant Treasurer: Assists the Treasurer with their role. After 5 years as P&C Treasurer, this will be Rebecca’s last year in the role, as her daughter is now in year 6. We are looking for someone who may be interested in taking on the Treasurer role in 2026. Being Assistant Treasurer will give you a chance to ‘learn the ropes’ from Rebecca this year whilst she is in the Treasurer position.
If you are interested in one of these roles, please reach out to the P&C via email for further information: landsboroughpandc@outlook.com

Classroom News
1S
All of 1S worked on their fine motor skills making beautiful, colourful Easter Eggs. They needed to rip and scrunch coloured paper and glue and stick the paper to make a pattern of two.
Happy Easter everyone!
Mrs Stevenson (1S Teacher)
2P
2P have been busy making lunchboxes for Science. Students have been studying different materials and their properties. They then had to select materials suitable to create a water-resistant lunchbox.
Miss Paine (2P Teacher)
2M
What an awesome first term in 2M!
We’ve been busy learning about materials in Science. We explored and investigated the properties of different materials so we could choose the right ones to create a lunchbox that was strong and water resistant. We also made puppets that could move in different ways using a range of materials.
In HASS, we explored our world and our connections to places.
We gave a spoken presentation in English about a character from a text.
In Maths, we had to solve a real world problem by collecting data, displaying the data in different ways and interpreting the data to find a solution.

Farewell and Thank You
As Term 1 wraps up and everyone looks forward to a well-deserved Easter break, lots of yummy chocolate and time of Easter reflection, I wanted to let you know that I will be moving on from my role here as Chappy.
I am sad to leave you all and will miss all the incredible kids and special friendships I have made along the way. It has been an absolute joy to journey life with the Landsborough kids and I will always remember my time here and each of the kids I was able to spend time with.
I pray the kids and the beautiful community that surrounds them have a wonderful break and favour in all your adventures this year. Thank you for supporting chaplaincy and a special thank you to all who have supported my role. I have appreciated you more than you realise.
Chappy Anita
LSS P&C
The P&C is made up of parents just like you! The primary goal of the P&C is to enhance the educational opportunities for the students at our school. But along with that, it is also a great platform to build lifelong friendships with other like-minded parents, enhance your skill set, become more informed on important school matters and policies, provide parent input and give back to our wonderful school community.
Being a P&C member does not mean that you must attend all meetings. Our meetings are where all decisions are made, therefore attendance is encouraged so you can have your say.
Our next meeting is Wednesday 28 May at 5:30pm in the Hive.
Thank you to everyone who made donations towards our raffle prizes and/or purchased tickets in the raffle. The P&C wishes all LSS families a safe & Happy Easter.
